Water Quality Ponds help to collect runoff from nearby roads or buildings to help treat pollution. Many of the City's ponds are retention-reirrigation ponds. These ponds collect water and hold it for a period of time.   As the water is held pollutants and sediments sink to the bottom and the water is then reused or reirrigated across grassy areas.  The Lovegrass Water Quality Pond is a retention-reirrigation pond, but it is not functioning properly. The City is taking a systematic approach to repairs to this pond.

Project Status

The second phase of the project has been completed as the stacked limestone wall around the tree has been replaced by a solid concrete wall.  The pond will be monitored through storm events to determine any additional steps.
