Getting Access to Austin Public Library's Virtual Library with an eCard is easy and convenient. Sunset Valley Residents also have the choice to apply for a physical card which is your key to checking out books and library materials at any of Austin Public Library’s 21 locations and access to digital resources.

If you don't have an Austin Public Library Card yet, don't worry! You can easily apply for an eCard or physical card and submit your reimbursement form below. Sunset Valley residents can purchase an eCard from APL for an annual fee of $46 or can purchase the annual physical Library Card for $149. Click here to learn more about how to get your Library card and start exploring.

In addition to the digital eCard, students who either live in or are enrolled in any school in Travis County – including public, private, daycare, charter, and homeschool – are eligible for a free Student Library Card Account courtesy of Austin Public Library. Click here for more information.

Please use the form below to complete a reimbursement request for an Austin Public Library card.

If you have any questions, please contact City Administration at 512-892-1383.

Please note that the reimbursement is currently up to $149 per household (address).

The rebate is available to all residents of the City of Sunset Valley, whether they are property owners or renters. There is no distinction between the two. However, individuals who live outside the City limits, such as in the City’s ETJ (including the MAA Apartments or Country White Lane), are not eligible because they are not City residents.
