Winter Weather Update
All City facilities will be closed on Monday, January 26. Essential staff, including the Police Department, will remain onsite and available to assist the community with winter weather–related needs. If you need to contact City staff during the closure, please call 512-892-1383. For non-emergency assistance from the Police Department, you may also call 512-974-0845.
Sunset Valley Is Moving to .GOV
Beginning on Monday, January 26, the City of Sunset Valley will officially transition our website and email addresses from .org to .gov. Our new website address will be: www.SunsetValley.gov This will be the same website you already use and trust, with the same pages, services, and information—only the web address is changing. In addition, all City email addresses will now follow this format: name@sunsetvalley.gov This change enhances security and ensures you are accessing official City of Sunset Valley communications. Thank you for your continued engagement with our community.
ARTFEST Vendor Applications Now Open!
Join us for the 18th Annual Sunset Valley ARTFEST, April 25, 2026 hosted by the City of Sunset Valley Arts Commission. For the past few years, ARTFEST has had a record number of art and food booths with over 100 artisans showcasing their handmade merchandise including oil paintings, drawings, sculptures, glass creations, jewelry designs, metal and woodwork items, and much more. This is a one-day event from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with over 8,000 attendees. The FREE ADMISSION event offers something for everyone in the family with avenues of artisans, with live music from local Austin area talent, local food trucks, and a separate area for children's fun and interactive activities including Adventure Build. There is ample FREE parking onsite for vendors and the public close to the festival.
