Overview

The City of Sunset Valley holds annual elections in November for City Council. The City Council is composed of one Mayor and five Council Members. All positions are elected at large for two- year terms, with no term limits.

2026 Joint Regular and Special Election information

The City of Sunset Valley will hold a Joint Regular and Special Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

This election will be administered by Travis County.

• Two (2) City Council seats- each for a two-year term

Special Election

Voters will consider Reauthorization of the Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) and sales tax.
