History Harvest for Sunset Valley Elementary

At Sunset Valley City Hall from 4:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Representatives from Austin Public Library are interested in hearing and recording your stories. This is an opportunity to preserve the memories and important role that Sunset Valley Elementary held in the community.  The Austin History Center will hold onto these stories in the archive.
Here are some things you can think about as we prepare to sit down and record.  
  • What do you want the community to remember in 20 years?
  • What teachers, staff, parents, students should go down in Austin history?
  • Is there any school lore or funny stories you want to share?
  • What community events do you want remembered?
